Rajinikanth has surprised fans by announcing his next with beast director Nelson Dilipkumar and the announcement was made just before the release of Vijay starrer film. The film is tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 169’ and the film’s announcement teaser made some records on the video streaming platform. Now, the latest report is that ‘Thalaivar 169’ is to release in 2023 Summer.
Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar have been in constant discussion to finalize the full script for the film, and the director has been visiting the actor’s house regularly. Rajinikanth has instructed the ‘Beast’ filmmaker that he is in no hurry and that he shouldn’t be under any pressure to complete the film. Also, ‘Ajith 61’ and ‘Thalapathy 66’ are already announced to release for Diwali and Pongal respectively, so the makers are eying the summer festival Tamil New Year.
Reportedly, the shooting of ‘Thalaivar 169’ has been planned to kick start in August, and the team will be traveling across locations for the film shoot. The genre of the film is not revealed yet, but it is expected to be in the shades of the director’s previous films with a mix of dark comedy.
